THE CS WATER, SANITATION AND IRRIGATION COURTESY CALL TO THE NATIONAL IRRIGATION AUTHORITY.

The Cabinet Secretary; Water, Sanitation and Irrigation: Eng. Eric Muuga paid a courtesy call to the National Irrigation Authority offices at Irrigation House on August 20, 2024. He met the Chairman of the Board; Eng. Gilbert Maluki , the CEO Eng. Charles Muasya and the Senior Management drawn from different departments.

He was briefed, on among others, the Authority’s mandate as well as the tools used to deliver on the mandate and achievements realized to date.

The CS, while appreciating the briefing and promising his support in delivery of the mandate, reminded the Authority about Kenyans’ deliberate demand for quality services and called upon them to serve with diligence and go beyond the call of duty.

He reminded the management that alot is expected of the Authority. He called upon the team to hasten implementation of the ongoing projects and ensure timely completion within the set timelines.

The Authority is implementing several development programmes, including Mwea Irrigation Development project, Bura Irrigation Rehabilitation Project, Rwabura Irrigation Project, National Expanded Irrigation programme, Turkana Irrigation Development, Household irrigation, Rehabilitation of strategic water facilities, Galana Kulalu Food Security Project, Spate Irrigation Project, Water Security & Climate Adaptation, Ahero Solarization project, operation maintenance of Public Irrigation Schemes and Lower Kuja Irrigation Project.The Authority is implementing several development programmes, including Mwea Irrigation Development project, Bura Irrigation Rehabilitation Project, Rwabura Irrigation Project, National Expanded Irrigation programme, Turkana Irrigation Development, Household irrigation, Rehabilitation of strategic water facilities, Galana Kulalu Food Security Project, Spate Irrigation Project, Water Security & Climate Adaptation, Ahero Solarization project, operation maintenance of Public Irrigation Schemes and Lower Kuja Irrigation Project.
