TREE PLANTING CAMPAIGN IN LOWER KUJA IRRIGATION SCHEME

National Irrigation Authority led by Ag. Deputy General Manager, Operations Mr. Joel K. Tanui on behalf of Ag. Chief Executive Officer Eng. Charles Muasya led a tree planting campaign in lower kuja irrigation scheme together with other officials from the Authority and farmer leaders in the scheme.

The target of the exercise is to plant over 2000 seedlings in the scheme where each staff and farmer will have a target of planting 30 seedlings.

This will help in realizing the president target of attaining a minimum of 30 percent forest cover nationally by 2033, reduce gas emissions as well as provide food and income from the fruits.
