AG. CABINET SECRETARY AND AG. PRINCIPAL SECRETARY MINISTRY OF WATER, SANITATION AND IRRIGATION , PAY A COURTESY CALL TO THE NATIONAL IRRIGATION AUTHORITY HEAD OFFICE

Yesterday on Monday, August 29, 2022 the Ag. Cabinet Secretary Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Mr James W. Macharia, E.G.H, accompanied by the Ag. Principal Secretary Ministry of Water, Sanitation and Irrigation Dr. Eng. Joseph K. Njoroge, CBS paid a courtesy call to the National Irrigation Authority head office along Lenana Road. He was received by The Irrigation Secretary Mr. Aboud Moeva and the Authority’s CEO Mr. Gitonga Mugambi, EBS, the Board of Directors and other senior Managers.

The CS commended the National Irrigation Authority’s exemplary performance, having emerged as the best performing State Corporation in service delivery in the Financial Year 2020-2021 with an excellent score of 1.889.

The Authority’s exemplary performance is attributed to cordial working relationship between the Board, Management and Parent Ministry as well as teamwork among members of staff across all stations.

He also mentioned that he was pleased with the works the Authority is carrying out across the country to ensure water for irrigation is available to farmers and encouraged the staff to continue engaging diligently towards the execution of its mandate and service delivery to the people of Kenya in order to contribute towards making Kenya food secure.
