BOARD MEMBERS TOUR TO THIBA DAM
National Irrigation Authority Board members accompanied by the Kirinyaga County Commissioner Jim Njoka, CEO Gitonga Mugambi, EBS and other senior staff members toured Thiba Dam in Kirinyaga County to inspect its implementation progress.
The Dam which cost 8.2 billion started on March 2018 and is expected to be complete by March this year. Currently the progress of the Dam is at 92%. Once complete, it will have a capacity of 15.6 Million cubic meters which will enable the rice growers in mwea have a double crop.
The Board members were pleased with the works done by the Authority at the site. They promised to continue supporting the management achieve its mandate.
