CS LAUNCH GWA KIONGO DAM IRRIGATION PROJECT IN NYANDARUA COUNTY ON FEBRUARY 5, 2022
Cabinet Secretary ministry of water, Sanitation and Irrigation Sicily K. Kariuki (Mrs) E.G.H accompanied by National Irrigation Authority Deputy General Manager, Irrigation Infrastructure and Development Services Eng. Charles Muasya on February 5,2022 launched Gwa Kiongo Dam Irrigation Project in Ol-kalou sub-county, Nyandarua County.
The Project which is 98% complete covers 500 acres and directly benefiting 1,000 households through irrigation farming of high value commercial crops.
The CS was pleased with the works done by National Irrigation Authority for helping people of Gwa Kiongo have access to water for irrigation and domestic use. She requested people from the area to manage the Project well so that it can serve them for a longer period of time.
