AG. CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER ENG. CHARLES MUASYA ACCOMPANIED THE AGRICULTURE CS HON. MITHIKA LINTURI TO THE GRANOT AVACADO PACKAGING PLANT IN NETANYA, ISRAEL.

Today the Authority’s Ag. Chief Executive Officer Eng. Charles Muasya accompanied the Agriculture CS Hon. Mithika Linturi, Water and Sanitation PS. Dr Ronoh, Irrigation Secretary Aboud Moeva, Reclamation Director Thandi Githae , ICT PS John Tanui among others to the GRANOT avacado packaging plant in Netanya, Israel. The firm has acquired and is currently developing a 1,000-acre avacado farm in Naivasha, Kenya.

During the visit, it was agreed that the firm would be connected with Irrigation farmers in Kenya especially within the community irrigation projects for avocado aggregation and export.

The team later visited RIMON group where they were taken through various solutions in water involving wastewater treatment for irrigation and desalination for domestic and Industrial use.

Exposure and knowledge gained will go a long way in supporting our farmers increase production and access market as well as enhance Kenya’s collaboration and partnership with Israel.
