Mr. Joel K. Tanui is the current Ag. Deputy General Manager, Operations and Irrigation Management Services of the National Irrigation Authority. Prior to his appointment on February 7, 2023, he had served the Authority in other various capacities as Chief Officer, Operations, Regional Coordinator, Nyanza, Senior Schemes Manager, Western Kenya Schemes, Scheme Manager, Bunyala Irrigation Scheme, Officer – in – charge, Ahero Irrigation Scheme and Irrigation Officer, Mwea Irrigation Agricultural Development (MIAD) Centre.
He holds a Master of Science in Agricultural Production Chain Management (MSc. Agricultural Production Chain Management-APCM) Van Hall Larenstein University, Velp, The Netherlands, Master of Business Administration (Strategic Management) – Course work completed at Maseno University – Kisumu, Kenya, Diploma – Innovations Management International Business Management Institute, Berlin, Germany, Post Graduate Fellowship; Irrigation and Water Resources Management.
