EMPOWERING FARMERS IN YATTA: NIA WATER PUMP DONATION UNDER CSR INITIATIVES

The National Irrigation Authority has today donated 20 water pumps to beneficiaries of Household Water Pans in Yatta as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). The pumps were received by the Yatta Deputy County Commissioner Edward Lelgo and distributed to farmers who were waiting at St. Peter Catholic Church, Ndalani.

The presiding Father Fr. Benedict Maingi and area chief Cosmas Kaloki appreciated the Authority for the pumps and other projects done in the area and promised to make maximum use of the pumps for food production.

The Authority remains committed to initiatives that enhance food security and improve the socio-economic well-being of farmers across the country.
