DAYU Irrigation Group Co. Ltd, a leading Chinese irrigation enterprise paid a courtesy call to the National Irrigation Authority on July 26, 2024 to discuss potential collaboration and partnership opportunities.

The delegation led by Vice President Ms. Cui Jing, accompanied by Bo Wang and Dr. Mohamed Wahba met NIA CEO Eng. Charles Muasya, MBS Eng. Loise Kahiga (Head of Infrastructure) and Eng. Jairus Serede (Head of Planning and Strategy).

During the meeting, the following key areas of collaboration were discussed: Water Storage and Harvesting, Smart Irrigation Systems in Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (ASAL), Flood Control Measures, Research and Monitoring Initiatives.

Both parties will seek to enhance the collaboration through a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), setting the stage for future projects aimed at smart irrigation and increased water productivity.
